“I would like to extend my sincerest gratitude on your interest in Pine Park Christian Academy and my warmest welcome. What is Christian education to me? Christian education encourages children to see and understand the world through God’s perspective, by instilling the word of God and Biblical principles in their lives. It’s teaching them how to add God into the equation, even when it comes to learning. Knowledge comes from God. There are many benefits your child/children will get through attending our academy, including being allowed to work at their own pace. I actually attended a public school, and I noticed my peers were learning bad behaviors and habits from each other, i.e. lying, cheating, profanity, etc… By giving your child the advantage of attending our academy, your child will be able to focus on what’s most important (their education, future, and Christ-like behavior). Your child/children can learn without unnecessary distractions, like who has the latest cell phone, the coolest pair of shoes, or even who is dating who and why. Your child/children will be able to work at their own pace, allowing our faculty to work with them individually as we transform areas of study where a child needs improvement into areas they can be confident in. Your child/children will not be rushed through a subject without fully understanding the content in its entirety. Each child is different, unique, and learns at a different pace. Great news; God loves everyone in their uniqueness!
So what is Christian education to me? I can sum it up into to two words -“It’s Everything!”
“Wisdom is the quality of having a good judgement based on knowledge. It is popularly known as the ability to discern. If knowledge is power, wisdom is your choice to use or apply that power. Understanding is the ability to understand one’s knowledge and choices.”
