History

  • ~2009~ A Call Was Answered

Rev. Rex White answered the call to Pastor Pine Park UPC in August of 2009. He and his wife Sis. Teresa White, with their three young daughters, set out on a journey to seek and see the will of God in their lives and the lives of this community. That decision made the opportunity for Pine Park Christian Academy’s fruition possible.

  • ~2017~ A Vision Was Born

Rev. White’s middle daughter, Sis. Katelyn Brazile imagined a safe place where her children and the children of our community can learn and grow. As the timing wasn’t yet perfect, she held on to her vision and shared it with Pine Park UPC, for she had faith that one day God would pave the way for this vision to come true.

  • ~2020~ Pine Park Christian Academy Established

On July 5th, 2020, Sis. Katelyn Brazile and Youth Leader, Sis Glenda Jackson presented to the church their plans for Pine Park Christian Academy during a Sunday morning church service. The excitement filled the entire sanctuary, as every church member began to see that same vision.

Philosophy

The objective of a private Christian school is to obey the Scriptural imperatives of
Deuteronomy 6:5-7 and Proverbs 22:6.
Training for life must include spiritual training.
A Christian school is an extension of the Christian home. Our school staff works closely with
parents to train the whole child.
Our goal is to train Christian youth of every ability in the highest principles of Christian
leadership, self-discipline, individual responsibility, personal integrity, and good citizenship.
We stand without apology for the Gospel and highest standards of morality and Christian
behavior.

Referenced Scriptures:

“And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.”
-Deuteronomy 6:5-7

“Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”
-Proverbs 22:6
